Dear Lansing Community Members,
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Lansing Middle School, I would like to extend a hearty welcome to the patrons of the Lansing School District. Also, to those that are new to the Lansing community, please know that you have chosen a great place to live and raise your family. At Lansing Middle School, our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the young adolescents that we teach. Further, we believe that every student that enters Lansing Middle School must believe that they are valued and celebrated for what they can offer to our school.
Lansing Middle School students have represented their school and community well throughout the years. Academically, LMS has achieved the “Standard of Excellence” on the Kansas State Assessments numerous times in all core areas and have done exceptionally well at league, county and state events. Our students have also shown their “LION PRIDE” in the arts, athletics and clubs. In each of these areas, our students have excelled and represented their school and community proudly.
I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank the faculty, staff and parents for the support that you have given to our students. It has been said and written that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”. It could also be said “It Takes a Village to EDUCATE a Child”. No truer words were ever spoken and this is evidenced by the hard work and passionate desire to help all students succeed and prosper at LMS.
“IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A LION!!!”
